Adding ad code to your site

Where to paste placement code in Ghost or your newsletter.

  1. 1Open Monetization → Ad Placements and click View next to a placement to see its code.
  2. 2Copy the code.
  3. 3For site-wide placements, paste the code in Ghost Admin → Settings → Code injection (Site footer), or in your theme where you want the ad to show.
  4. 4To place an ad inside one article, open the post in Ghost, add an HTML card where the ad should go, and paste the code.
  5. 5For newsletter placements, add the code block to your newsletter where the sponsor unit should appear.

Code only shows ads while the placement is switched on and your publication is approved. If a placement is off, nothing is shown; no empty boxes.
