Terms of Service

The agreement between you and CoreTech Media ("CoreTech") when you use our hosting, control panel, ad network or advertiser services.

Effective September 30, 2026

1. The service

CoreTech Media ("CoreTech", "we", "us") provides managed hosting for publications built on Ghost, a control panel to manage them, and an advertising network that connects publishers with advertisers (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm you may accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. Your account

Keep your login details private and give team members their own accounts. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

3. Plans, resource limits and fair use

Each plan includes the storage, traffic, newsletter sends, domains and sites described on our Pricing page. If you regularly exceed your plan, we'll contact you to agree an upgrade before taking any action. We may slow or pause a site that puts the Service or other customers at risk, and we will tell you when we do.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to publish, send or host:

  • Anything illegal, including content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy.
  • Malware, phishing pages, or content meant to deceive readers into giving up passwords or payment details.
  • Hate speech, harassment, or content that promotes violence against people or groups.
  • Sexual content involving minors, under any circumstances.
  • Material whose main purpose is file storage or distribution unrelated to your publication.

You also may not attempt to break into, overload or disrupt the Service or other customers' sites.

5. Email and anti-spam

Newsletters may only be sent to people who asked to receive them. Do not import bought or scraped lists. Every newsletter must include a working unsubscribe link, which Ghost adds automatically. If complaint or bounce rates put our sending reputation at risk, we may pause newsletter sending on your site until the cause is fixed.

6. Your content

You own everything you publish. You give us only the permission we need to host, back up, display and deliver it as part of the Service. You can export your content from Ghost at any time.

If you believe content on a CoreTech-hosted site infringes your copyright, send us a notice through our contact form identifying the work, the page where it appears, and your contact details. We will review it, may remove or disable the content, and will tell the publisher, who may respond.

7. CoreTech ad network (publishers)

  • Joining the network is subject to our approval, and we may end a publication's participation at any time.
  • You receive the revenue share shown in your dashboard, applied to net advertising revenue from your placements. Net revenue excludes invalid activity, refunds and chargebacks from advertisers.
  • You must not click your own ads, ask others to click them, buy traffic designed to inflate impressions, or place ads where they might be clicked by mistake. Earnings from invalid activity are not paid and may be deducted.
  • Payouts are made monthly for the previous month once your balance reaches the minimum shown on your Payouts page. You are responsible for any taxes on your earnings and for giving us accurate tax and payment details.

8. Advertisers

Every campaign is reviewed before it runs, and we may decline or stop any campaign. Ads must be truthful, must link to a working, safe destination, and must not promote anything illegal. Reporting in your advertiser dashboard is the basis for billing.

9. Free trial, payments and refunds

CoreTech Media offers a 14-day free trial of hosting, with no credit card or payment details required. The trial never turns into a paid subscription by itself: to keep your site after the trial, you choose a plan and upgrade.

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment processor (Stripe), and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing → Manage billing; your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.

Once a paid plan is active, payments are non-refundable, including for partial use or unused time. If you believe you were charged in error, or a technical problem stops you using the Service, contact us and we'll do our best to help.

If your trial ends, or a payment fails and isn't fixed, we may pause your hosted site after giving you notice. Your content is kept for 30 days so you can upgrade or export it.

10. Availability and backups

We work hard to keep every site online and publish live status at Status, but we can't promise the Service will never be interrupted. We keep regular backups of hosted sites for the period included in your plan; we still recommend keeping your own export of important content.

11. Ending the service

You can close your account at any time from your dashboard or by contacting us. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, after notice where reasonable, or immediately for serious or illegal abuse. After closing, you have 30 days to export your content; after that, sites and backups are deleted.

12. Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, CoreTech is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For significant changes we'll give at least 30 days' notice by email or in your dashboard. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where CoreTech Media is established, and disputes will be handled by the courts there, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim locally.

15. Contact
