Setting up your newsletter sending domain

Send newsletters from your own domain so they reach inboxes.

Updated September 30, 2026

Ghost newsletters are delivered by CoreTech's email service. To send from your own address (like news@techpress.co) and land in the inbox rather than spam, your domain needs a few DNS records.

  1. 1Open Email in your dashboard.
  2. 2Enter the domain you want to send from and click Set up sending domain. A sub-domain such as mail.techpress.co is a good choice; it keeps newsletter mail separate from your personal email.
  3. 3CoreTech shows the records to add: SPF (TXT), DKIM (TXT) and tracking (CNAME).
  4. 4Add them at your DNS provider, the same way as in Connecting your domain.
  5. 5Back in Email, click Verify DNS now. Each record shows Verified when it's found.

We also recommend a DMARC record; the Email page shows the exact value to use.

The number of newsletter emails you can send each month depends on your plan. Your usage is shown on the Email page.
